The Berkeley Art Studio within the ASUC Student Union is looking for an artistic and hardworking student to support the social media presence for the Berkeley Art Studio. This position will work under the direction of a full-time staff member of the Berkeley Art Studio.
*Must be an current UC Berkeley Student
Job Duties:

Maintain two (2) platforms for the Berkeley Art Studio (Facebook, Instagram)

Take photographs of student artwork and classes for posting on social media and the Art Studio’s website

Provide excellent customer service

Continue with the voice and tone for the Berkeley Art Studio, engage with followers, advocate for our brand

Generate monthly analytics report and present to your team

ASUC Student Union Social Media Assistant
Rate: $15/ hour (dependent on experience)
Hours: 15-20 hours per week
Overview:
The ASUC Student Union Marketing Department is looking for passionate and hardworking students to enhance the social media presence for the ASUC Student Union and its departments. The Social Media Assistant will work under the direction of a full-time staff member of the ASUC Student Union Marketing team. The Social Media Assistant must work during regular office hours (Monday-Friday 9-5pm).
Qualifications:
– Understands the ASUC Student Union voice.
– Can tell a story in 140 characters or less.
– Knowledge/involvement with campus groups.
– Adaptable: Beyonce just walked into the Student Union. What do you gram?
– Comfortable collaborating with others members of the Student Union team.
– Takes initiative and welcomes constructive criticism.
– Experience with current social media platforms.
– Ability to follow social trends and implement customer feedback.

– Experience with social media analytics
– Knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite

Job Duties:
– Curate and maintain a social media content calendar

ASUC Student Union Business Development & Finance
Billing Specialist
The Business & Finance Billing Specialist is responsible for ASUC Student Union (SU) Event Services accounts receivable (A/R), including event invoicing, payment processing, collections, and financial reporting.
Event Services plans over 3,000 events a year for student groups, campus departments, and public clients in SU managed spaces including the MLK Student Union, Anna Head Alumnae Hall, campus outdoor spaces, and the Career Center.
Responsibilities
Assist in the processing of A/R transactions, including event billing, payment processing, collections, and financial reporting:
•Ensure accurate client payment data on Event Management Software (EMS) system.
•Ensure accurate and timely processing of client invoices and payments, including cash, checks, credit cards, and internal IOCs. Code payments and revenue shares to appropriate accounts.
•Maintain client credit card forms.
•Prepare department financial reports, including Ageing Report, Billing Worksheet, and Career Center Billing. Follow up with stakeholders as necessary.
•Prepare weekly CDS deposit.
•Review Ageing Report to identify clients (RSOs and Campus Departments) no longer eligible to use Event Services’ facilities.
Required Qualifications
•Proficiency working with computer and information systems, including MS Office software and Google applications (bMail, bCal, Drive). Ability to learn and correctly use EMS system.
•Ability to complete responsibilities timely and accurately; attention to detail; ability to prioritize and multitask.
•Must be punctual and have excellent communication and people skills. Ability to maintain a courteous and professional relationship with clients and co-workers.
•Currently registered UC Berkeley undergraduate, 1st or 2nd year. Work-Study.
•Hours: 12-15 hours per week. Dates and times are flexible. Must work at least 2 hours per day during Office Hours.
•Available to work summer session.
Preferred Qualifications
•Business, Accounting, or Finance major.

•Successful completion of a background check although applicants may receive an offer of contingent employment pending the outcome.
•Must adhere to UCB policies and procedures and the ASUC SU Work Agreement.

The Graphic Design Assistant will work under the direction of a full-time staff member of the ASUC Student Union Marketing team. The Graphic Design Assistant must be able to work during regular office hours (Monday-Friday 9-5pm).
Qualifications:
- Experience making design projects or other creative projects.
- Ability to conceptualize and plan ideas.
- Possess excellent time/project management skills for meeting deadlines.
- Knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite.
- Comfortable working with Macs.
- Comfortable collaborating with other members of the Student Union team.
- Takes initiative and welcomes constructive criticism.
- Work study preferred.
Job Duties:
- Conceptualize, design, and produce images for print and digital marketing campaigns.
- Responsible for production and execution of final artwork, which includes: printing, trimming, mounting, and assembling.
- Follow Student Union brand and visual identity standards.
- Other graphic duties assigned as they come up.
